About Fire Velo

Fire Velo is a “Fire Service” based 501(c)3 nonprofit organization cycling club. We are primarily active and retired Firefighters riding for our “Fire Service Families”. Our goal is to be a highly visible national cycling organization, participating in rides and charity events throughout the United States. All funds raised through Fire Velo will help provide financial assistance to fire service-based groups and causes. Fire Velo is open to all levels of riders from beginners to veterans; weekend riders to racers; roadies to mountain bikers. Some members have over thirty years of riding experience while others have not been on a bike in years. We regularly participate in local and national cycling events. We hope to make these rides a great social event while at the same time bringing focus to many great causes pertaining to the fire service. As previously stated, it is our goal to assist in providing financial support to the many facets of the fire service.

We are, first and foremost, a cycling club. We are a dedicated group of fire service cyclists that have a passion for our sport and a willingness to share it with others. Fire Velo will be committed to supporting many great causes and organizations within our fire service family.
